Feature Friday: Caroline Dooner of the F*ck It Diet
This Friday, we are excited to feature Caroline Dooner on the BALANCE eating disorder treatment center blog!
Caroline Dooner is the creator of the Fuck It Diet, which teaches radical normal eating to chronic dieters. She also teaches intuition and advocates hardcore for #rest. Her writing and philosophies on making eating simple are powerful sources of inspiration for many trapped in diet culture. Today she continues to help people through her blog, podcasts, and e-books.
After years of obsessive dieting for 10 years, on her 24th birthday, she had an epiphany. She knew that she had to step out of the cycle, learn to eat normally, and heal her relationship to weight. This is what led to the creation of The Fuck It Diet.
The Fuck It Diet tackles two things:
1) The biological reasons you’re obsessed or bingeing.
2) The mental, emotional, and cultural reasons that we become obsessed with food and weight in the first place.
She is also a RYT-200 registered yoga teacher, and teaches energetic principles to help chronic dieters come back into their bodies, rest, breathe, process old emotions, be willing to be human, and feel the space they take up with their bodies. She also offers free e-courses and content on how to step out of diet culture, as well as her Fuckiteer Academy which provides on demand videos and worksheets for a fee. She published her first book, The Fuck It Diet, that will be available on March 26th, 2019, that you can pre-order today.
