BALANCE eating disorder treatment center, a premium treatment center in Manhattan, is seeking a highly motivated, passionate Recruiter to join our expanding team!

The Position
The responsibilities of a recruiter include identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, filing paperwork, and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation.
Responsibilities:

Design and implement overall recruiting strategy

Collaborate with department heads on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs.

Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications

Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards

Source and recruit candidates using databases, social media, and employee referrals

Screen candidate’s resumes and job applications

Conduct interviews using various selection tools and/ or methods to filter candidates

Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes

Onboard and orient new employees

Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the leadership team

Meet with candidates to discuss job opportunities and answer questions about company culture and benefits packages

Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
Who You Are:
-
2+ years’ experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)

Ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based)

Experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference & background checks)

Ability to organize paperwork (applications, skill tests, interview notes and additional resources)

Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)

Experience with recruiting software; Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) is a plus but not required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong decision-making skills

BS in Human Resources, Business, or Communications required
