No Matter Where You Are In Your Journey, We Are Here To Help

We understand that seeking help for an eating disorder can feel overwhelming and frightening. Whether you are simply beginning to explore treatment options or are ready to commit to a program, the compassionate Admissions team at BALANCE is here to help you. We recognize deciding to seek help is a courageous choice and we would be honored to be a part of your recovery process. Our main goal is to make navigating the admissions process as easy as possible.

Beginning The Process Of Getting Eating Disorder Treatment

To help you understand what to expect when going through the Admissions process, we would like to walk you step-by-step through the process so you know what to expect. From your very first conversation with a member of our team, we are committed to helping you, your loved one or client discover the possibility of a recovered life.

Step 1 - Reaching Out

Our intake process begins simply with a phone call to our main office or an email inquiry to our website. We will gather information about your concerns and answer any questions you may have. You will be offered an in person appointment at your convenience. Should you wish to see our facility before making a decision about treatment we encourage you and your family to tour our center and meet with members of our team.

STEP 2 - INTAKE

All clients meet with a member of our Admissions Team for an intake. During this assessment we will discuss your current and past symptoms, goals for treatment and the details regarding your situation. This information is used to determine and recommend which level of care would be most appropriate and get you on the path to recovery.  It is also an opportunity to ask additional questions about our eating disorder programs and services, share any concerns you may have about seeking help or tour our center.

If you are contacting us from out-of-state or from a residential setting we will arrange to conduct all necessary admission interviews by phone.

STEP 3 - MEDICAL CLEARANCE & OUTPATIENT TEAM COLLABORATION

You will also be asked to sign a consent form giving us permission to contact any treatment providers or referents involved in your care. A list of the required lab work we will need will be provided by a member of our Admissions team. We request that you complete your labs within one week of starting a BALANCE program.

After the intake is complete, we will reach out to your current outpatient team to discuss our assessment and coordinate care in accordance with our collaborative treatment recommendations. After consulting with your treatment team we will establish a personalized treatment plan best suited to you.

STEP 4 - TREATMENT RECOMMENDATION

Finding the right program for you and your recovery is our top priority. Once it is decided that BALANCE is a good fit, a member of our Admissions team will recommend a level of care at our center. At this time we will explain any reasonings behind our choice and answer any questions you may have regarding our placement. Our recommendations are always based on our ethical, honest evaluation and goal helping you recover. If for some reason our program is not the right fit, we will work with you to find suitable care.

STEP 5 - starting TREATMENT

Once you agree to begin treatment, your road to recovery at BALANCE begins. Our team of therapists, dietitians and recovery coaches are dedicated to making you feel welcome, safe and supported on your healing journey. We understand that this is a difficult process and some words of hope from those who have once been where you are can be incredibly helpful. INSURANCE & FINANCING

We understand that the financial aspect of treatment can be stressful, our goal is to work with you and your family to help make treatment accessible and possible. Do not let the stresses of paying for treatment stop you from reaching out, we are here to help you discuss options and find a financial plan that allows you to focus on recovery.

FOR REFERRING PROFESSIONALS
