BALANCE eating disorder treatment center, a premium treatment center in Manhattan, is seeking a highly motivated, passionate IOP Lead Therapist to join our expanding team!

The Position
The IOP Lead Therapist position is an integral role at BALANCE eating disorder center™, by supporting the Clinical Director, supervising the evening therapy team, and ensuring that shifts are covered, and clinical notes are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:

Facilitates or Co-facilitate group therapy sessions with clients demonstrating knowledge of eating disorders and the principles and techniques of group therapy.

Lead psychotherapy groups including CBT/DBT, body image, and family groups

Lead therapeutic meals, including pre-meal and post-meal processing groups
-
Provide Individual Case Management and Coordination

Show knowledge and understanding of individual patient and family dynamics in the early stages of treatment.

Conduct topic groups, displaying good theoretical knowledge of subject matter and effective communication skills in delivering material.

Complete all documentation including treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge summary maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures of BALANCE.

Maintain appropriate and timely communication with referral sources and other significant contacts, conveying a positive professional image.

Supervise individual and group counseling sessions and oversee responsibility for training new staff to ensure clinical documentation is current and accurate and meets all regulatory and other standards.

Assist in coordinating coverage of shifts.

Assist Clinical Director in implementing program changes, and audits, as needed.

Provide supervision of clinical interns and/or other assigned staff with licensure-related supervision needs.

Assist with clinical oversight of the PHP and IOP programs.

As assigned, provide orientation to newly hired therapists
-
Provide backup/crisis availability for program group coverage as needed.

As designated, review clinical documentation to ensure appropriateness and training progression.

Attend all rounds, staff meetings, and group supervision

Always display a courteous and caring attitude to the clients, interns, and visitors of BALANCE.

Cooperate and collaborate with program staff, and interns.

Abide by all specific program and company procedures, policies, and requirements.

Develop personal and program-related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.

Create, maintains, and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.

Other Program-related responsibilities as needed.
Who You Are:

Passionate about eating disorders prevention and intervention
-
PhD, PsyD, or LCSW, LMSW
-
Able to supervise interns.
-
1+ Years of leadership experience.
