We are looking for a Admissions Intern to join our team at BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™ in New York City.
Description:
BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™ is a nationally recognized outpatient treatment center located in New York City. Founded by Melainie Rogers, MS, RDN, CDN, CEDRD-S, BALANCE specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and other eating & body image conditions. BALANCE offers comprehensive programming that includes day treatment, an intensive outpatient program, a weekend program, groups, meal support and nutritional counseling. We are currently seeking an intern to assist the Admissions department. This intern will report to the Director of Admissions and will work collaboratively with the admissions team in delivering superior and highly responsive services to prospective clients and referral partners who contact our center seeking information and guidance for eating disorder treatment.
Responsibilities Include:

Provide data entry of client and referral partner information

Collate marketing packets and other materials for the admissions department

Provide phone coverage to support the admissions team

Assist the Director of Admissions with targeted projects to support the department

Assist in creating and developing educational materials for clients & families

Maintain BALANCE’s client alumni tracking system and coordinate alumni mailing list

Assist in managing outcome studies

Represent BALANCE by attending events, workshops, and conferences

General clerical tasks as needed to assist the admissions team

Attend weekly meetings at BALANCE as indicated

Passionate about providing information and resources to those affected by eating disorders and mental health issues

Have basic knowledge or an interest in eating disorders, mental health and nutrition

Strong organizational skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Comfort speaking on the phone and interacting with others

Ability to meet deadlines

Self-starter and ability to work independently
Hours:

12-15 hours weekly
