FULL-TIME CLINICAL INTAKE COORDINATOR

BALANCE eating disorder treatment center is seeking a Full Time Clinical Intake Coordinator (30-40 hours/week Tuesday-Saturday)with availability to accommodate 1-2 evening intakes a week. We are looking for a team player with excellent problem solving skills and multi-tasking skills for a high pace environment.

Duties include:

  • Receive and manage inquiries seeking support for an eating disorder. Convert inquiries to intake assessments
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments on a weekly basis
  • Provide psychoeducation about various levels of eating disorder treatment and conduct follow ups to deliver clinically indicated treatment recommendations
  • Strategize interventions to further assist clients and their loved ones work through barriers of accepting treatment recommendations
  • Collaborate with outpatient providers to collect psycho-social history, medication, diagnosis, and discharge plan if stepping down from a higher level of care
  • Speak to clients and their loved ones about the cost of treatment and how to contact their insurance providers about potential out of network reimbursement
  • Coordinate initial nutrition sessions, initial case management sessions with clients and the BALANCE staff
  • Maintain all admission documents including inquiry information, consent for release of information, financial documents, and referrals

Required Skills

  • Experience working with eating disorders
  • Confidence guiding clients through ambivalence and resistance
  • Experience speaking to prospective clients by phone, email, or text
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Knowledge of verification of benefits and utilization reviews

Required Education and Experience

  • Master's degree and related work experience
  • Ideal candidate has 3+ years experience as a therapist
  • LMSW highly encouraged
