Elyssa Toomey, MA, RDN, RYT – Day Treatment Program Coordinator

Elyssa is a registered dietitian and is the Day Treatment Nutrition Coordinator at BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™.  Elyssa also works with clients individually at melainie rogers nutrition LLC.  Elyssa earned her degree in nutrition and dietetics from Montclair State University and completed her internship through the College of Saint Elizabeth.  Elyssa is also a registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance.  Her specialties include eating disorders and yoga therapy.

Liz Carrara, MS, RDN, CDN

Liz is a registered dietitian that works in the Day Treatment and Weeknight Programs at BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™. Additionally, she also provides individual nutrition counseling for clients at melainie rogers nutrition LLC. Being a Vermont native, Liz earned her Master’s in dietetics at the University of Vermont, where she also completed her dietetic internship.  Her specialties include eating disorders and sustainable food systems.

Kayla Jessop, RD

Kayla is a registered dietitian that works in the Weeknight Programs and Day Treatment Program at BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™. Additionally, she also provides individual nutrition counseling for clients at Melainie Rogers Nutrition LLC.  Kayla received her degree in dietetics and nutrition at Utah State University where she completed her accredited internship while attending school. Kayla graduated with honors and top of her class. Seeing the impact nutritional education and counseling can have on an individual’s life is gratifying and reinforces her career choice every day.

Erin Loughran, Psy.D.

Erin is the Clinical Supervisor at BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™. Dr. Loughran received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California in 2002. She is a former director of the Intensive Outpatient Program at The Renfrew Center in New York City and has been treating eating disorders for 15 years. In addition to her position at BALANCE, Dr. Loughran runs a private practice.

Leslie Davenport, LCSW Clinical Outreach Coordinator

Leslie joined the staff of BALANCE in 2013. She has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of mental health, human resource consulting, program development, and marketing. She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, holds a master’s degree from New York University Graduate School of Social Work and completed a post-masters certificate in advanced clinical training from the Institute of Developmental Psychotherapy. She is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

In addition to her clinical background Ms. Davenport has spent much of her career in the corporate workplace arena where she functioned as Clinical Supervisor, Manager, and Director of Network Development for a national EAP consulting firm. In addition, Leslie worked as the outreach manager for an addictions treatment program and founded a private marketing consulting program for clinical practitioners. She has maintained a private psychotherapy practice and provides independent consulting services in the areas of clinical treatment, marketing, and business development.
